Big Dreams Have More Magic | MKE Year 3 Week 19

Dream big.

We are the Architect of our own lives. So go ahead and dream big dreams my friends. Don’t let circumstance be the handmaiden of your future. If a 5-year old can become an Astronaut or Fire Fighter, then you can certainly become anything you want as well.

If you’re unhappy in your job…find a new one. If you hate your job and live a life of misery…and you openly (or silently) complain about how miserable you are…that’s the vibration you’re sending out into the world…which means that is the exact thing you end up attracting more of. Ironic, isn’t it.

A job is not your identity – it is what you’re currently doing. A salary is simply the bribe they’re paying you to keep you from pursuing your dreams.

You don’t need a job, you need an income – so do what makes you happy and you’ll be amazed how much money you end up attracting – it’s a Universal Law!

If you can’t quite yet picture your dream, or feel like you don’t deserve the best and the happiest there is to be had…perhaps a small shift in your perception will help:

Emotions are the physical manifestations of our thoughts, so when you feel a negative thought or emotion coming on, find something else to focus on. Something seemingly meaningless…for instance, during this MKE course we are teaching our subconscious to associate shapes and colours with our most sacred desires and the thinking habits – and resulting mindset shifts necessary to become self-directed thinkers helps us reclaim the throne in our own lives.

My shape quickly became a circle. So I did a little experiment at home…in a large vase in the kitchen, I started collecting every circular thing smaller than the palm of my hand that would have otherwise been destined for the recycling bin. The sheer amount of circular objects that pass through my kitchen on a daily/weekly/monthly basis was astonishing…beer or pop cans, salsa jar lids, K-cups, salad dressing flip caps…now each time I toss one in the vase (or see one in the fridge or pantry for that matter), I remind myself of one thing I’m grateful for.

It’s to the point now that I see circles everywhere…and so am constantly reminded of gratitude and the concept of Give More Get More has become part of my DNA.

Circles, circles everywhere – and so is my Gratitude!

Driving…tail lights are nice red circles. Steering wheel and tires are too! Showering…all those bottles have round lids. Lying in bed…smoke alarms on the ceiling. Door knobs. Key rings. Feeding the dogs (their bowls and their kibble). Coins in my purse…

Training your brain is fun (hello, evolution!) and as you get more skilled at it, it becomes hard to see a vehicle as I walk up to it because all I see is my gratitude. Im not driving myself to work, rather I’m immersed in the Universal law of giving and receiving.

There’s no time to be negative and feel sorry for myself…I’m too busy showing gratitude and appreciation for all the good things in my life, and in turn, as promised, and without fail, the Universe is showering me with all kinds of favor!

In MKE week 16 we collectively focused on kindness – amazing how true it is that what we focus on expands! As Earl Nightingale said in The Strangest Secret, we become what we think about!!

It all begins and ends in your own mind. Guard it like a fortress.

Dream Big Plan Well Work Hard Smile Always.jpg

I believe we are put on this planet to accomplish our life’s purpose, and I happen to think that LOVE is a critical component to us finding that destined path. Love is the illuminator. Give up the struggle and the pain will cease. When you clear your head from the negativity you make room to breathe again, to think…to dream!

Remember this…you’ll never get what you want – you’ll only ever get what you can picture.

Put yourself first!

Think happy thoughts.

Stop thinking. Start feeling.

YES YOU CAN!

All it takes is concentration… | MKE Year 3 Week 16

Manifest your ideal | A ‘how-to’ guide [in progress…]

I’ve worn my ability to multi-task like a badge of honour for as long as I can remember…turns out, what I thought was among my greatest strengths has actually been, perhaps, my greatest weakness.

When focusing on one thing at a time the results are astounding…the quality of work rises, and the task is actually completed faster. A recent Stanford Multi-Tasking Study found that when we multi-task we are actually less organized, retain less information and are unable to filter out distractions. Science has proven that it takes less energy to succeed than it does to fail. Imagine that!

This Quad | Far Quad visual is a pretty accurate (and entertaining) descriptor of how easy it is to get distracted…it personifies the reason why multi-tasking is a trap and how so many people can easily fall into its clutches. Also, it’s funny because it’s true.

farquad

(Wish I knew the origin so I could give appropriate props and accolades to the genius behind this…)

Consider what your old blueprint is telling you…

Why do we continue to do things that we know are not effective?

Why do we keep running on the proverbial ‘Hamster Wheel of Life’?

Enough already.

You control your destiny…and it’s achieved by the tiny steps we take day-in-and-day-out to direct our lives down the path of our choosing.

Charles F. Hannel repeatedly teaches that “Knowledge does not apply itself”…we’ve got to make the application.

John P. Wooden says that a Dream Without a Plan is just a Fantasy.

“All it takes is concentration.” Charles F. Hannel

For all the List Makers out there, the last ‘To-do List’ you’ll ever need is: Plan the work.  Work the plan. Schedule the most important activity FIRST…literally, write it into your schedule.  Actually do the most important activity first. And be nice to yourself.

It’s simple. Focus + concentrate and STOP MULTI-TASKING. Keep distractions separate.  Let go of what you do not need. Instead, focus on the most important activity. Cling to what you do need, and manifest your ideal.

A line that sticks with me from the movie ‘The Help’ is this…

“You are smart.  You are kind.  You are important.”

Gratitude Attack | MKE Year 3 Week 12

Gratitude is a cause, not an effect.

I’ve discovered that the more I give, the more I get…and having a GIVE MORE GET MORE mindset continues to open a world of possibilities.

Gratitude is not a one way street.

To give freely, we must also be open to receiving.

While I am happy to help others, I often reject the offer to accept the same help I so willingly hand out. By not accepting help I am blocking the gratitude flow…preventing it from completing the rotation.

Screen Shot 2017-02-21 at 3.20.52 PM.png

For example…I give and give, and do and do for everyone any chance I get, yet when I have the change to receive help, I tend to immediately reject it. For I feel guilty, as though I’m imposing on other people…ridiculous, I know.

This is simply fear…False Evidence Appearing Real (FEAR).

Fear of asking for help? Fear of appearing needy? Perhaps fear of needing help?

Still learning about myself, aware of the feeling and can now identify when I react this way. It is after all, a reaction, not a response.

Allow the abundance to flow back to you.

As I was telling my friend Carrie about this story, she questioned why I wouldn’t simply accept help and allow others to return the favour? She pointed out that surely I had earned a break, if for nothing other than the enormous amount of service I provide to others, always without hesitation. She went on to enlighten me that I’m cutting off the flow of abundance by allowing myself to be overcome by guilt rather than simply being accepting of the Universal law of giving.

This realization hit me like a tonne of bricks right to the side of the head…suddenly a bunch of things made total sense.

Welcoming abundance and receiving gratitude are part of being Very Blessed and Highly Favoured. I promise to embrace the help that is offered with grace and humility so as to no longer block the flow of abundance.

I welcome abundance in and from all directions, with an open mind and a grateful heart. So grateful that my friend took the time to highlight how ridiculous it is for me to pick and choose how gratitude will work…

I’ve got to let go…

I will let go…

…I have let go.

Gratitude, Ya’ll.

Having gratitude and expressing gratitude to people are different.

So many people have trouble accepting compliments. Many people will wonder if you’re dying when you tell them you’re grateful – they’re simply not used to hearing it. That, my friends, is a sad state of affairs. We all have greatness inside us. I believe I have been put on the planet to help draw out peoples’ greatness.

When was the last time you were grateful for having 10 fingers and 10 toes?

Homework: Find three people in your life and tell them – physically pick-up the phone and call them, or write a card not a text – tell them why you’re grateful or thankful for them. There’s something about the written word…and something equally as powerful about the spoken word.

Feel gratitude for everything. You’ll be happy you did 🙂

I had the pleasure of meeting a wonderful and inspiring leader, Muzafer just over a year ago. He explained that he wears gym shorts under his suits while he’s on stage presenting because it reminds him of his roots when people clap give him accolades.

He described it as keeping him grounded, and reminds him that he’s still the kid from humble beginnings. His lesson: Be grateful. Do things to keep you grounded, find ways to remind yourself daily.

Never forget where you’ve come from, or you’ll be on your way back.

Create and maintain a vital S P I R I T. You need to make sure you are giving yourself opportunities to find stillness. Do things every day that bring you joy, keep you grounded, and feed your soul. Sharing with others, giving to others, giving your all – these activities, while enriching, take a lot out of a person. Even a day that is filled with meaningful, fun activities can be tiresome. There can be no restoration without rest so don’t forget to make time to rest, to sleep, to recover.

My JENNERGY | MKE Year 3 Week 11

I realize now that it’s really more how I am IN the Universe, rather than what I am TO the Universe that matters most.

My destiny is a lot more about the Universe’s plan for me, for my life, rather than my plan for the Universe…

The brilliance of the Master Key System, especially this week [WEEK5], confirms that the more I read, the more evidence I discover to support living by a code rather than a direct course of action.

My entire life…I’ve heard, read, and really felt for that matter, that ‘the Universe has a plan for me’. I’ve received encouragement to ‘live my greatness’, yet I’ve drawn a blank when trying to articulate what that ‘greatness’ actually is.

The link that I realized this past week is that I was understanding what I was hearing incorrectly – I was trying to do the Universe’s work…I was trying to be the message and the messenger. I should have been acting as a channel for the message.

Same old thinking...same old results

As Haanel states in 5-11:

“But if we have stored away nothing but courageous thought, if we have been optimistic, positive, and have immediately thrown any kind of negative thought on the scrap heap, have refused to have anything to do with it, have refused to associate with it or become identified with it in any way, what then is the result?

Our mental material is now of the best kind; we can weave any kind of material we want; we can use any colour we wish; we know that the texture is firm, that the material is solid, that it will not fade, and we have no fear, no anxiety concerning the future; there is nothing to cover, there are no patches to hide.”

Truth be told, the only thing I’ve ever really known as a sure and real thing, is that I wanted to be HAPPY. Aside from that I couldn’t have articulated from the seat of my soul – my Solar Plexus – what I wanted out of life, who I am, or what I can bring to the world. For as long as I can remember, I’ve kind of been beating myself up because I haven’t truly been able to answer the questions, among others:

What do you want to do?

Who are you?

What do you want to become?

Who are you, and what do you really want?

Really annoying…because I’m really smart and I should be able to reverse-engineer this kind of stuff. How on earth I could pigeon-hole all of my wonderment into only one thing has never made any sense to me. And I’m smart…like just shy of MENSA smart but this one embarrassingly simple questions have evaded me for decades. Seriously?!?

Haanel goes on in 5-12 to connect this though, namely:

“These are psychological facts; there is no theory or guess work about these thinking processes; there is nothing secret about them; in fact, they are so plain that every one can understand them. The thing to do is to have a mental house-cleaning, and to have this house-cleaning every day, and keep the house clean. Mental, moral and physical cleanliness are absolutely indispensable if we are to make progress of any kind.”

Seems I’ve always had a hard time choosing just one thing, or narrowing down to only one path. Historically, I’ve had difficulty answering those questions, perhaps because I’m so multi-passionate?

I’ve mistakenly associated ‘living my greatness’ with ‘being some specific thing’…

… a writer, a mom, a servant leader, an employee, an entrepreneur…or with specific traits like bravery, tenacity, strength, honour, resilience, persistence…insanity. I haven’t had a messy house, it’s simply not been kept clean everyday. I haven’t taken my gifts and put them forth with purpose.

I’ve enjoyed everything, everything that I’ve done in my life, which is a long list; varied from accounting to marketing, to driving, to travel planning…there hasn’t been any one thing that defines me…I’m just one of those people that’s blessed with a varied skill set. I’m talking permanent Sunshine and Rainbows kind of stuff. I’m a mom and can throw a kick-ass party, I’m a baker, I’m funny and well spoken, I like to proofread and I’m pretty good at finances, I love to travel, and I don’t have a green thumb but have learned to be ok with it, I’ve got above-average communication skills and I make a mean banana bread, and I love my kids, hard!

I’m all about being HAPPY. Spreading Happiness. Sharing HOPE.

My best friend is a paramedic, and she has known she wanted to be a paramedic since she was young, I admire that dedication and rooted knowledge. She’s been a paramedic forever – that’s her identity, that’s what she does, that’s her thing, and that’s her brightness the world. I love that – I love it so much.

Yet when I talk to her, she loves that I don’t have just one thing, so she says I can do everything, and is in awe that everything I touch turns to gold. She thinks it’s amazing that I know how to do so many things, because [as she puts it], she only knows how to one thing – paramedic. Beauty truly is in the eye of the beholder. [Isn’t she beautiful!!]

Jen + Val Stampede 2014.PNG

Our life story isn’t defined by the things that happen to us, instead how we handle it. The good and the bad.

And it’s high-time that I harness the full breadth of my uniqueness. Rather than holding myself back as I have been [by giving into my ghosts, allowing resistance to be the governor of my destiny] – I’m allowing myself to celebrate it, embrace it.

My gift to the world is HOW I think.

How I react.

How I share my brightness.

Blissfully ignorant.

Full of empathy. True joy.

Edifying everyone…building up their greatness, helping them embrace it.

How I am is part of my DNA.

I am so unique. So special. Insightful, pure, honest, empathetic, compassionate, funny and kind.

I can be what I will to be.

My Jennergy is the essence, the heartbeat, of all that I am

All I need do is reach out and claim it. Claim my greatness. The world is counting on it!

Infinite life flows through me, because I earnestly desire happiness for everyone.

I hereby assert my claim over my unique trifecta of Brains | Beauty | Bravery and the more I put it into practice, the deeper I feel my connection to the Universe, urging me to continue the cycle and share it more and more.

I promise to manifest Liberty+Recognition for Creative Expression and living the Law of Compensation; giving more without the expectation of reciprocity.

…BTDubs, this question mark has been hanging around my home for about 7-years – sometimes stuffed in a closet, sometimes hung in a prominent place…depending where I am in life and whether or not I can answer the question. When I feel I can’t answer it, I stuff it away – or is it the other way around?… I promise you all right here and now, never again am I going to take it away from my daily sight lines, if I do, I give permission for one of my top 5 favourite humans – AA – to take it from me and hang it in his own home!

Directing my Valkyrie | MKE Year 3 Week 9

As I learn more about who I was born to be…I realize that the things from my childhood which I thought were too jeuvenile or silly were swept aside; those character traits (emotional and physical), which I have consciously eliminated from my daily repertoire…these are in fact the foundation of the true Me…they are the bumpers to my bowling lane! At the risk of sounding like a cheese ball…they complete me.

Things like saying “Have a HAPPY day!” rather than “Have a good day” [the boring, confirmative yet still pleasant and more grown-up version].

The Valkyrie inside me has always been there..now that it’s awake, I can barely contain the majestic-ness of it all. Realigning with the 6 year-old Me has been magical, in every sense of the word. I choose to believe in Magic. And I’m happy about it!

I’m putting the real me on display for the world … to love or not to love…

All of my wild love. All my captivating, intoxicating goodness…designed to fulfill my destiny and act as a beacon towards my life’s truest calling….baring my soul, my secrets, and my strengths to the world with pride and humility and I have gratitude and love in my heart so the Universe will bring back to me more of that which I give.

While I feel more free, I also feel more capable, impactful, and yes…even Happier!!

This is me, and I love me. Flaws and imperfections are my signature, not my deficit, and I’ve embraced being different – actually, I wouldn’t want it any other way!! I’m going to be the best…my best…that way I can really change things.

The Universal Test

From time to time, the Universe has been known to throw pain and suffering at me, often at the most inopportune times. Likely geared towards muting my light…to distract me from realizing my full potential…and sadly, I have been an unconscious pawn in this game far too long. By allowing this to continue, I am essentially accepting defeat and everything I’ve ever wanted had seemed just beyond my reach.

Well no more. Now I am adorned with goodness and light and more affluence and favor than many will ever know. I know I am very blessed and highly favored.

They [exactly who are ‘they’, anyways?] and why do we voluntarily give ‘them’ is much power?? Anyways…they comment that it’s always darkest before dawn…and I am proud to say that this has never dissuaded me. I promise myself I will overcome the previous addiction to remaining stuck in this realm of torment and drama.

Some people believe the Universe is out to get them…well, what I believe is that the Universe IS out to get you – to get you to learn a new lesson, to get you to make different decisions, to make new mistakes, to evolve.

Pain is no longer my fuel, nor is it my vice. When I’ve got a full plate and my resolve threatens to buckle under the pressure…it is at that very moment – while I contemplate certain defeat…that I will not give in, rather I will harness this energy into my greatness…because is where all the magic lies.

The fork in the road, the Fulcrum point…most would [and usually do] concede – justifying their own excuses, allowing Resistance to flail its treacherous sword; hacking apart the ridge built by the conscious minds.

A select few who have adopted the Master Key principles are able to line the trials and tribulations with an overwhelming sense of the warm and fuzzies, vigilantly ploughing through, taking baby steps and sometimes giant leaps and bounds towards overcoming obstacles and turning adversities into advantages.

Think of it like ‘levelling up’…the game platform represents the Universe, the game represents your life/future/desire…and the arsenal of weapons available to you represents your mental stronghold of positive mental thoughts and attitudes.

Will you answer the call??

When my kids were young, and in reality, quite recently as well, I’d always encourage them to ‘make new mistakes’. Instead of throwing in the towel, I took the addition of another simultaneous ‘super important, stress-enduring, time-sucking emergency and instead became laser-focused on funnelling that negative energy into the never-dying battery pack, without any trace of question or exception, powers my Resolve.

More burden…Bring It!

Another Stressor…I’ve got this.

…the needle in the Haystack…I see you and I’m coming for you. Your time is over because I’m coming for you!

I can be what I will to be. And I empower my Vigilant Guardsman as my Valkyrie.

When I feel an insurmountable amount of pressure, I remind myself of my promise to NEVER, EVER QUIT because I’ve embraced the darkness – for the pattern that holds true despite and inspire of the sands of time is this:

Without fail, it is during my darkest and most challenging times that I have come face-to-face with my Demons; and the Vigilant Watchman ensures that it there they shall lie…strewn upon piles of fear and broken dreams, for all eternity these distractions will no longer direct my course. In the darkness I conquer what no longer serves me, and as the dark recess, the new me emerges, armed with new knowledge and habit, with renewed belief and restored confidence.

According to Norse legend, the Valkyrie were beautiful women who watched over Odin’s army and transported their souls to a safe haven, where they were to await the epic, final battle. Those who were weak or unworthy did not get a second chance, they died and were forgotten.

This analogy resonated with me [as all good analogies do!] because my MKE-infused brain is, in essence, watching over my thoughts and filtering which ones are saved, and which ones are discarded and forgotten about. My brain is my Valkyrie. My Vigilant Guardsman at the Gate.

I refuse to conform. I am free of its control because I now realize – and accept – my power to control this destruction and recognize my competent ability to make different choices, which will affect more positive results.

I greet this day with love in my heart.

Today and every day I am growing stronger and more magnetic.

I am not defined as just ‘one thing’, rather I am everything, all at once. Completely in tune with the Universe. I am perfect, whole, harmonious and complete. And above all else, I am Happy!

I do everything with grace and ease because I embrace it all with love in my heart.

I’m so great-ful that you’ve joined me on this journey…please leave your comments and observations below…they fuel my fire and I’m so appreciative for your time and interaction.

Have a HAPPY day!

STONEWALL | MKE Year 3 Week 4

Today I begin a new life.

I am building a stone wall as my protection.

I’ve accomplished so much and can see it and am so proud of myself.

My mental, moral and physical harmony is valuable and precious.

I can be what I will to be.

As a daily reminder to hold onto my greatness, I named my corporation The CRATOS Group – Cratos meaning ‘The Personification of Strength and Power’.

You know how you’re instructed before each flight to affix your oxygen mask before helping others on an airplane. The same holds true in life…in order to give your best and highest effort you have to fortify your mind to cancel out the noise; cancel out the opinions of others; cancel out the negative self talk; cancel out anything that isn’t serving you and your higher purpose.

What YOU do is all that matters.

My friend Jesse tells me all the time – always beating himself up – hard – about a bad decision he made in front of his young son…he continues ripping himself to shreds over 3-minutes from nearly a decade ago. He has been holding himself hostage by one bad decision, rather than forgiving himself and learning how to be come a better father, a stronger role-model and a better person overall. He didn’t learn from his mistakes – he fell victim to them.

We must fortify the stonewall in front of our own castle. In our own minds. First.

We need to build up our self belief, and that begins from within. We need to monitor what we are watching and what we listen to; we need to make a top 10 list of what we like about ourselves and read it out loud morning, noon and night; we need to surround ourselves with positive, supportive people. This will help us lay each brick the best it can possibly be laid.

We need not think about building an entire wall, rather fortifying only the portion in front of our own homes…which all begins in our own mind. Once we have mastered this, we can then join hands with our neighbours and build stronger friendships, stronger communities…and a stronger world.

Just like Marvel’s Nova Corps Fleet in the movie The Guardians of the Galaxy – how they unify and together, they become stronger.

I can be what I will to be.

This scene from the movie Facing The Giants is one of my favourites…it reminds me that I am capable of more.

I know my calling is to help connect people to their inner love again. Help them reconnect with their innate greatness – infusing positive self talk strategies to gain self-belief and confidence to live on purpose. In order to help others I must first help myself do exactly the same.

I trust the universe to supply me with all necessary financial resources.

I trust myself to be open to every opportunity and to embrace change in order to put myself out there, in order to both attract, and be ready for, the next steps into my best self, and towards my best life.

I appreciate you joining me on this journey and would love to hear your feedback.

All my best,

Jen

See what moved me during last years’ course: Year 2 Week 4 | [audible gasp]

Self-Confidence [a how-to guide] | MKE Year 3 Week 2

Self-confidence is not found in the perfect pair of jeans … it’s not having the sickest vehicle … or being amazing at school sports … It’s not about the perfect job … or spouse … or dog … or pencil crayon collection, etc. etc. etc.

Self-confidence is a mindset. Good news about that is: it doesn’t cost any money … doesn’t require any talent … and you don’t need any special equipment.

Keep in mind that developing yourself is a process – much like flat abs, it’s not going to show up without some serious effort on your part. Here are a couple things, in no particular order, that I’ve found useful along my own journey. None are more important than the others, so I’ve listed them all as #1.

I wrote them with an open heart – I hope you’ll receive them with an open mind.

#1: Smile

Screen Shot 2017-12-01 at 11.20.09 AMLearning to like the person in the mirror difficult because most people have spent but instead of trying to get diapers or avoiding the barrel together try something as simple as a smile. Bill Tabing to a complement hate you look nice cute dress good job on your make up can’t find anything nice to say to yourself perhaps you can complement good job we did growing up eye balls or how nice your hair is growing or something…anything positive will do.

Not so sure yet?

Eventually, liking the person in the mirror I promise will need to loving the person in the mirror. You’ve just spent a lot of time disliking the person staring back at you…so it’s only logical that you’re not going to fall back in love with yourself overnight.

It will come, I promise. Give it time.

#1: Be Gentle With Yourself

Go easy on yourself. Don’t beat yourself up, and stop trying to be perfect.

Will it really affect your future if you miss a deadline, or or if the kids had to get take-out for lunch because you didn’t remember to pack lunches?

Understand that you’re just one person, and people have limits. It’s okay to have limits. Actually, limits are healthy.

When you can control your internal dialogue, the rest seems to fall into place. It’s got something to do with vibration – which I’ll write about in a few weeks – basically, we all attract things into our lives based on what we think about and what we feel…and it is Universal law that our vibration can only attract similar vibrations. If we think of our vibration like the keys on a piano – pressing a D-minor key but expecting an A-sharp sound to be produced would be ridiculous, right?!

Quit comparing yourself to others – and just do you.

You are Natures Greatest Miracle.

You’ve got this.

#1: Say Nice Things

The world is not out to get you. If something goes wrong in your day, don’t beat yourself up about it. For example if the dog food delivery doesn’t get there on time, or you wake up and it’s cloudy, or traffic is unusually heavy during your commute.

The default story you tell yourself might be something like:

“Go figure, bad stuff always happens to me”.

I call this a grumble grumble grumble mindset and one that will only bring you more of the same.

Words have power. Especially the ones you say to yourself.

I suggest making a list of the Top 10 things you like about yourself…ready it three times daily. If you’re not sure what to write – ask a child what they like best about you…they’re honest and haven’t yet learned how to lie so you’ll get a clear answer.

As a kid, my grandma always used to tell me

“If you don’t have anything nice to say don’t say anything at all.”

She also told me that eating mushrooms would make my boobs grow. Clearly, she knew what she was talking about.

Rather than remaining mired in negativity, try saying – or thinking – something positive. Immediately. Saying nice things will help re-train your brain by reprogramming the neuro pathways so that next time the same or similar experiences happen, your default memory will be positive. In my opinion and from experience, when the memory is positive, it allows you to absorb whatever lesson is being taught so you can move on and learn new lessons [and make new mistakes].

Evolution doesn’t happen over night, so don’t dismiss it after one or two tries.

#1: Vulnerability is a Virtue

Be kind to everyone for you never know what that other people are facing. It’s a basic life principal: Give More Get More. The Universal Law of unending returns tells us that your good deeds will come back to you. What you give to people – that’s what you’re going to get back. What you give is up to you…if you seem to be grumbling a lot…refer to #1: Say Nice Things, above.

#1: That Song You’re Listening To Keeping You Broke

Now you might be asking, how on earth could this be relevant to self-confidence?? And it may sound like passing blame and/or not taking responsibility…but stick with me here.

I assure you, the impact of what you allow into your subconscious. has a profound and notable impact on your behaviour and your actions.

On the week 2 webinar we learned that there are 4 Billion subconscious connections firing in our brain – as compared to only 2000 conscious connections. True story!

Remember any jingles from your childhood? Perhaps you haven’t heard it for 15-25-35 years, yet when played, you recall it word for word, and can still put the correct emphasis on words as though you consciously recalled it yourself? Our brain retains information that we don’t even register as important. So I assure you, the gossip and mindless chatter sneaks in there too!

#1: Negativity is a Lousy Roommate.

The news was basically fear mongering and I didn’t ever have time for all the associated drama, so I stopped listening to the radio, and eliminated watching the news. When I did tune in, I never heard any money come out of it – the radio, nor the news have ever paid my mortgage, and has never put food on my table – so instead, while in the car I listen to audio self-improvement audio some ones that really helped get my mindset in the right place. It’s not what I learned, it’s who I became as a result of being surrounded by these great people that has had the biggest impact on my life. With so much negativity all around, it is important to disrupt your brain. Don’t let negativity live rent-free in your mind.

Mind your mind. Keep it positive. Find the good.

Napoleon Hill wrote THINK-and-grow-rich. Not DO-and-grow-rich.

So I listen to the signs a person with cheap meant by Napoleon Hill I listen to the strangest secret by Earl Nightingale I listen to return to love by Marianne Williamson I listen to think and grow Rich by Napoleon Hill and the countless hours that I’ve spent with them as my silent partners with them is my mastermind group have got me to where I am today and I am so thankful that I didn’t just listen to the radio!!

#1: Judge Not Lest Ye Be Judged

My daughter does not want to be judged EVER. In fact, the thought of being judged paralyzes her. Yet ironically, she’s probably the most judgemental person I’ve ever met. The psychology behind her logic is this: If she judges somebody before they can judge her – then their words have no power. She has it half right.

If you ever went to junior high then it’s likely that you understand what it feels like to be judged. And most likely, what it’s like to judge other people as well.

Ultimately it’s just easier to point the finger at somebody else make them feel bad so that we feel good.  Remember, when we point the finger, there’s 1 pointing at them, but 3 pointing back at ourself.

#1: Introspection – Get Used To It

Most often other people based on the here maybe give me something to somebody else forget to try and bring them down to your level if you can’t feel better about yourself. Where’s the logic – make somebody feel shitty about their flaws because you’re insecure about your own flaws? When did it become easier to attack others – even if it is  subconsciously. Is it really so hard to look yourself in the mirror and say nice things; to be gentle with yourself and focus on your strengths rather than your perceived deficiencies.

To be fair, I know at first this is hard – but keep tabs on how you feel, and how you respond to situations and when you feel that ‘pang’ in the seat of your soul – that’s when you need to pay attention and do whatever it is you’re running away from.

#1: Live In The Truth

Have you ever met someone who lies about everything? Little white lies… exaggerations… some people seem more comfortable lying than telling the truth. Sadly, they lie so much that they begin believing their own lies, and then the truth is impossible to discern, even for them.

You rob people of the joys in life when you lie. So don’t do it. It’s a shitty thing. It takes so much from you and your family from the people you love it ruins surprises  and drains excitement when you lie – just don’t do it.

#1: Embrace 100% Responsibility

You have to take 100% responsibility for everything that you do…and for everything you don’t do for that matter.

…for everything that you think

…for everything that you say

…for every action that you take

…and for every action that you don’t

It’s actually very freeing.

Don’t make excuses…

…not for being late

…not for missing a deadline

…not for not having enough time

…not for the car you drive

…not for the state of your relationships

…not for the state of your life.

Own your s**t.

The good and the bad.

Only then can you being see things objectively, and hopefully, welcome change.

#1: Be Courageous

The more often you choose courage, the more often you’ll succeed.

#1: Express Your Gratitude

You’ll never get what you want if you can’t be grateful for what you’ve already got.

My Gratitude Stack

#1: Love

Love let’s us see ordinary things in extraordinary ways. I LOVE YOU JHC

With love you can be courageous. You an take responsibility. You want to help others and you don’t feel the need to judge. It’s a very nice place to be.

All of this has become more clear during my 36-months with MKE – I’ve either learned it or had it become more clear.

I don’t simply comprehend these steps, I live them everyday. And it is all sunshine and rainbows in my life – even when it isn’t. I choose to find the silver lining – to see the glass as half full – to believe that I am very blessed and highly favoured.

Will you answer your call to greatness?

You’ve got this.

Jen

Curious what moved me this time last year: MKE2 | The Cliffs of Insanity

Pockets of Time | MKE Year 3 Week 1

Hey…got a minute??

I’d like to talk about the seemingly inconsequential ‘Pockets of Time’ that make up our day. These bite-sized morsels of time can have an enormous impact on how we make our conscious decisions, which of course, then forms our habits. And everybody knows that ultimately, it is our habits that pave the way for the life we live. For better or for worse.

Let’s start by digging into what a ‘Pocket of Time’ actually is: any amount of time which makes up the in-between times…the time that fills the gaps. For instance:

  • Waiting for the bus, or in line, or for the photocopier…
  • After school before the kids come out
  • While your food spins in the microwave
  • When you’re put on hold during a phone call
  • During commercials
  • Listening to the radio in your vehicle
  • Or waiting for the traffic light to change, etc.

These small 20-180 second intervals allow us plenty of time to think ourselves into the life we want to live, or not – just as easily, we could do nothing at all…or worse…complain about all the things we don’t want, or we could log into the black hole that is our social accounts and get depressed about all the things we don’t have.

Whether it’s staring at the microwave; mindlessly channel surfing; or listening to gossip on the radio show…none of those things are going to move you closer to your greatness.

However, can you imagine what you could do with that time if you choose to apply yourself, beginning by putting these pockets to use?! Instead of watching cat videos, you could choose to do a physical chore, such as:

  • Clean out the leftovers in the fridge
  • Wipe the front of the appliances
  • Refresh the dogs’ water bowls
  • Take out the garbage
  • Write a quick love note for someone
  • Straighten the shoes at the front door
  • Organize throw pillows on the sofa
  • Purge receipts from your wallet
  • Unload the dishwasher
  • Sort the mail
  • Start writing a BLOG
  • Or simply … think a happy thought…

Your dreams are calling you...Decline or Accept

Once you can master the art of putting your physical body to better use, you might be ready to develop your emotional and mental self – this is the world within. Inside each of us is the unlimited potential to harness an unbelievable amount of thought power…yet, out of habit – or perhaps out of sheer laziness – we usually, and subconsciously dismiss the opportunity to do something productive or beneficial – simply by electing to do nothing.

In essence, we refuse to answer the call to our greatness.

It doesn’t take any extra effort to keep the house clean if you make a point to do so…instead of leaving your socks on the floor, just demand of yourself that you respect the house and your housemates and pick hem up when you get off the sofa, for instance. It seems inconsequential, yet truthfully, when you do tiny things to keep order in your life it saves you from having to find hours each week to clean the house. Same logic applies to your mental housekeeping since your exterior world is a direct reflection of your interior world.

Here’s what I know to be true…if you want to go on a vacation, holding a grudge over someone who went on one isn’t going to build you an airplane…you’ve got to get off your butt and start working! The same is true for your life. You’ve got to dream your dream into reality…become one with it…obsess about it [rather than about Candy Crush or Clash of Clans]. Put those pockets of time to better use. Your future depends on it.

I’m not saying you need to fill every second of every day – but if you take a personal inventory of how you behave during the pockets of time in your world, then you can begin to fill your pockets with intention and activities designed to propel you closer to your greatness!

Screen Shot 2018-09-18 at 9.51.40 AM

The good news and the bad news is it’s entirely up to you.

If you’re anything like me you spent a lot of time in your car…yeah, you could spend time listening to songs on the radio about the guy who lost his dog and/or broke his truck, but all the time I’ve been listening to the radio I’ve never heard any money come out of it!! Its never paid my mortgage or put food on my table…so instead, while I’m in the car I choose to listen to audio designed to help me become a self-directed thinker (sure, your kids might complain – but when they do, have them Google what Pitpulls’ Mom made him listen to):

  • Science of Personal Achievement by Napoleon Hill
  • The Strangest Secret by Earl Nightingale
  • A Return to Love by Marianne Williamson
  • Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill

The countless hours I’ve spent with these icons as my silent partners; my guides; my mastermind alliance have supported me to new heights that I am enjoying today, and beyond. I am so thankful I didn’t mindlessly fall in line with the other sheeple and listen to the radio!!

It isn’t what I learned – it’s who I became as a result that has changed me the most and had the most lasting impact.

In Think and Grow Rich, Napoleon Hill says:

Complaining about being poor won’t bring you riches. Wishing for it isn’t enough, you’ve got to act yourself into riches. Wishing for riches may very well bring you temporary riches, but acting with LOVE in your heart will surely bring you riches for generations.

Autonomy and Legacy are important to me – so I made a promise to myself, and a commitment to my family to be that person who creates ‘old money’ for my family – for generations to come. I chose to put my pockets of time to use to create a better life for myself and my family – a future that creates riches for generations.

Today I begin a new life is a great mantra – adds love to your mindset. Repeat this in your Pockets of Time and witness how your life changes.

To be clear here, riches isn’t about money – ‘riches’ is about anything you hold dear to your heart. I realized I didn’t need to have rich Grandparents, or an old Uncle to leave me a ton of money in his will, or the proper blood lines.

Rather, by tapping into my innate potential and reprogramming my brain;

making better decisions about what to do with my time,

I confirmed to myself that I can become anything I want;

I can accomplish anything I set my mind to!

And you can too!!

You are Nature’s Greatest Miracle.

You have it within you to Persist Until You Succeed.

Now, armed with the knowledge that we can think ourselves into any life we want…I encourage you to be brave.

Go ahead and love yourself into riches, by posting a few affirmation cards on your bathroom mirror or inside the kitchen cupboards and see how what you think about changes.

Malcolm Gladwell concludes that one becomes an ‘Outlier’ [a master of their craft] with 10,000 hours of practice. Essentially, anyone can master anything by practicing for about 90-minutes per day, for 20 years…he calls this the ‘Tipping-Point’ of greatness.

The way I see it – the ‘Pockets of Time’ are the answer; a first step towards the mastery of 10,000.

We may feel short on time to impact change in our lives overnight, or in a week, or in a month…but can you imagine how different your life would be in 2-years or 5-years or 10-years if you were to simply redirect your mindless time into mindful time? The possibilities are endless. Try new things. Make new mistakes.

10,000 hours - how much have you put in?

Today is your day – your ground zero!! Human beings have the ‘God-like’ power to control our thoughts; and since “we become what we think about” as Earl Nightingale reminds us in the Strangest Secret, then it stands to reason we can visualize into reality any life which we can imagine.

Here’s to your next new mistake. I’d love to hear all about it.

Love,

Jen

Social Economy Revolution

Serious change is upon us…the world is experiencing the biggest shift any of us have seen in our lifetimes…a shift towards a performance economy. In the future, you will no longer be paid for your time; rather, you’ll be paid strictly for your performance.

Here’s how the world used to work:

The rise of the Corporation was the norm, and represented a safe place to exist in the world:

Step 1: go to school and learn how to be an employee

Step 2: find a company that will employ you

Step 3: work for that company for 40 years

Step 4: retire

When people realized the loyalty and hard work they were giving wasn’t being given in return, and a different process evolved…

Step 1: go to school and learn how to be an employee

Step 2: find a company that will employ you

Step 3: switch companies for various political an economic reasons every 3-5 years over the course of your career

Step 4: find that you can’t retire comfortably after 40 years so you keep working

This is what will become of virtually every job…in fact, it is already happening in some professions:

  • People in the food industry already live this reality; they earn a small hourly wage (required by law) and make their living through tips, based on their performance.
  • The person cleaning the hotel rooms will no longer be paid by the hour, instead, by the room.
  • Office workers will find a lower base salary and performance incentives if they hit certain performance benchmarks on a monthly basis. Now the pressure is on and the company is loving it…if you don’t hit your targets they’ll save even more money and if you do, guess what’s going to happen – they’ll raise the requirements.

If this hasn’t already happened to you, it will.           Count on it.

The evolution of the Performance Economy has begun.

Robot economy pouring beer

According to Eric Worre, here is the ULTIMATE BUSINESS and PERFECT CAREER LIST, summarized from people over 30 countries:

What people don’t want: No boss. No commute. No alarm clock. No employees. No politics. No compromises. No discrimination. No educational requirement.

Using their imagination in a more positive way, here are some more positive attributes: Great product or service. Unlimited income. Residual income. Enjoy the people you work with. Time freedom. Something meaningful. Personal growth. Lots of perks. International. Contribution to worthy causes. Low overhead. Low risk. Low start up cost. Economy proof. Tax benefits. Fun.

As the economy shifts, most people end up with more month than money and are faced to scale back, sell items, or take a second job. Here are some of the typical considerations:

Types of jobs (according to Wikipedia and Eric Worre):

Blue Collar - working class

Blue Collar: A member of the working class who performs manual labor. Somebody who labors to fix something, make something, clean something, build something, or service something or someone.

white-collar-crimes

White Collar: A person who performs Professional, Managerial or Administrative work. A person who’s employed by someone else to do work other than manual labor or sales. (One of the most socially acceptable options available. Long viewed as the safe and secure option. The previous mentality of ‘if I’m loyal to the company, the company will be loyal to me’ is now long gone.)

sales job image

Sales: More adventurous than a typical white collar job because people are paid on their production, instead of by the hour. It is not unheard of for sales people to achieve wild success, when they do, they almost always set their lifestyle to that standard. When times get tough, they work more hours to make the same amount of money…so while they have the stuff, they don’t have the time to enjoy it.

Another challenge for the sales career is that no matter how a person does, they still start at zero the next day, and it can be tiring to live under that kind of pressure for a prolonged period of time.

Blow your hair back image

Traditional Business Ownership: The details vary a bit, but in general the process goes something like this:

  • Use life savings, take on additional debt via personal loans from family, friends or banks to get started.
  • Focus on everything other than what you’re good at – must be all things to all people. Time of and sleep are unlikely.
  • After everyone else is paid, you might have enough leftover to pay your own bills. Likely not enough to pay down your debt from Step 1 though.
  • Concede, give up your dream, and re-join the sales force with massive debt and a broken ego.

Investing weigh scales

Investor: Basically, unless you’re extremely specialized, it’s safe to consider this philanthropy rather than investing.

The New Economy Needs Fewer People

Exponential rise of technology has changed everything.

  • 100 years ago, 90% of population worked in agriculture…today, it’s less than 1%…
  • Remember call centres? You used to talk to an actual person, now you talk to a computer…
  • Companies used to have large sales forces, now people order online
  • What about Blockbuster and all of it’s employees…now people stream movies to their handheld or tablet devices…

…and those jobs are gone!

Robot economy pouring beer

Much like the children of farmers saw what was happening and left Farming for new vocations, the same thing is happening in Old Economy jobs. To survive, people need to open their eyes to this new reality and find something new.

Technology and efficiency are eliminating jobs everyday and there’s nothing we can do to stop it; in fact, it’s only going to accelerate.

Just because technology now reigns supreme, doesn’t trump the fact that…

  • …there are still products that need to be promoted…
  • …consumers still need to be educated…
  • …buyers are more discerning than ever to price and quality, because endless information is literally available at the touch of a button…

For the people who recognize this fact, it will be the best of times; for those who don’t, this change will be the worst of times.

Society is moving away from traditional forms of advertising and is rapidly embracing word-of-mouth because it continues to work better than any other form of promotion.

Aside from Super Bowl, when was the last time you volunteered to watch a commercial? PayPerView and OnDemand TV have eliminated the relevance of the commercial.

Hello, AMAZON Prime. In what reality do malls survive where people can quickly and efficiently order what they want and have it shipped directly to their front door with out the hassle and expense of going to the mall? Right…SEARS, ToysR’Us…

UBER rewards referrals with an account credit. Some banks pay hefty bonuses for . And restaurants. And retail stores (what’s left of them). Companies that offer products or services recognize this Social Economy Revolution and are rewarding loyalty with points programs and referral incentives.

Referral Marketing is the new – preferred – form of advertising. Companies aren’t utilizing large and expensive sales forces’, instead, more and more companies choose to provide Corporate support and pay distributors on a purely performance basis to promote their products, thereby utilizing Network Marketing to tell their stories.

More and more, companies will choose to use Network Marketing because it fits the new economy. The best way I know to not only survive, but thrive in the new economy is this Profession.

Network Marketing isn’t perfect…it’s just better.

You must accept [read: embrace] a temporary loss in social esteem from ignorant people.

benjaminfranklin1

For a while, people living in and trying to function within the old system will think less of you. They won’t understand.

You are seeing the future before it becomes apparent to anyone else. You are the smart one. You are taking action to live a better life.

The allure of getting paid for someone else’ efforts is powerful, but often badly misunderstood.

More often than not, this is what goes through the Lind of virtually every person who decides to get involved:

Hmm, I can think of 5 or 6 people who might do this too. My sister would be great. My friend knows lots of people. I know this other person who loves this kind of thing and would be amazing. Okay, I’ll join.

In other words, they aren’t joining a Profession, they’re just hoping to get lucky. They’re hoping to sign up a few people to cover their own start up costs and sit back and wait for the money to roll in. They haven’t started a real business, they’ve just purchased a glorified lottery ticket.

Imagine a lottery ticket with 6 scratch off spots – those spots represent the people they think most certainly will join, they approach those people and try to get them to join, but because of their lack of skill, most of them end up with nothing, just like the lottery ticket. And since they’ve acted in unskilled ignorance, they may have damaged some friendships or relationships along the way.

So, they rip up the lottery ticket, and instead of taking responsibility for not really starting their business, they blame Network Marketing and make sure to tell the world “Look, I’ve been there. Done that. I talked to every person I know and NM just doesn’t work; save your money.”

If you choose this as a Profession, that’s what you’re up against…the opinions of ignorant people who think they have done it right and it doesn’t work.

Well, news flash:

  • If some people are making a lot of money, then it’s not the compensation plans’ fault.
  • If some people are selling a ton of product, then it’s not the products’ fault.
  • If some people are going on the all-inclusive paid vacations, then it’s not the companies’ fault.

Responsibility rests 100% on our own shoulders. If you can embrace this, the world is yours, and in this Profession, you will get paid BIG money.

In contrast, Network Marketing Companies want to pay you more, not less like traditional Corporations.

They will pay unlimited amounts to people

who can help blind people see,

who can educate the ignorant,

and who can build a community of like-minded people.

The world as we know it has changed. If you’re going to be paid on performance anyway,  why live with the cap??

Disengaging Auto-Pilot (v2)

My game plan this week was to sit back and be a silent observer…of the process, the group, myself, and most importantly, my reactions! I noticed when I was hungry, when I was sad, when I was tired, and happy and mad and glad. I paid attention to the details with acute-sensitivity.

Perhaps for the first time ever, I observed as my subconscious began throwing a tantrum at the thought of new processes. I didn’t cave in or get discouraged, nor did I attempt to tell myself how great I was, or wasn’t. I simply identified the feelings in each moment, attempted to isolate the triggers, did my best to dismiss the immediate discomfort, and negotiated with myself farther than I had believed would be possible regarding with my old habits, and instead wrote it all down without editing, judging or trying to control it.
